Painting in a Unique Place is an intensive two-week workshop, limited to no more than five participants, to ensure a great deal of individual attention in Certaldo Alto, Italy, September 4th -18th.   

Working on-site in and around Certaldo Alto, with the media of watercolor, tempera or acrylic participants will visually explore the dynamic interrelationships of space, color and light.  This workshop is for anyone who wants to develop their artistic practice and understanding of how to apply these three interactive elements in their painting. 

The workshop will meet daily from 9 am until 12 pm and again from 1 pm until 3 pm Monday through Thursday.  Fridays will be dedicated to excursions outside of Certaldo (these hours may vary depending on students’ requirements).  Upon completion of the workshop participants will have a collection of works to take back to their studios and use as a source for more in-depth and completed compositions.

The cost for the two weeks is $2850.00 ($100 deposit due upon enrollment necessary to hold spot, remainder due Aug 14th. $2750 remainder due on Aug 14th) .  This price does not include travel fare, room and board nor any extra activities you may wish to participate in outside of the workshop. (You will be responsible for securing your own housing accommodations in Certaldo.) We kindly remind you that Don Eugene Seastrum and Vita Institute for the Arts are not liable for any mishaps, errors, or issues related to room and board, including but not limited to accommodations, reservations, or any associated concerns.
